Salaried GP

Due to retirement a position has arisen for one, possibly 2, enthusiastic, motivated salaried GPs to join our well-established, high achieving practice, rated Good by CQC. Our list size is approximately 6300 patients Newburn Surgery has been offering excellent patient-centred health care for over 90 years and is ideally located within easy access to Newcastle city centre, as well as the beautiful Northumberland coastline. We are a forward-thinking GP training and undergraduate teaching practice with consistent excellent patient feedback. We operate from partner-owned premises and a medical suite within the nearby Lemington Centre. the post is for 6 - 8 sessions per week to start April 2027 we offer a competitive salary (both experience and qualifications will be considered) full indemnity paid 6 weeks holiday plus CPD time pro rata regular clinical and educational meetings we encourage development with courses and any specialist interests you may have. we welcome and will fully support newly qualified GPs. you will have a highly supportive working environment focusing on your professional and personal well-being.

In your role you will provide a variety of duties including: face to face consultations telephone consultations e-consultations visiting patients at home supervising and supporting students, F2 and GPR training. undertaking a share of on-call sessions checking and signing prescriptions dealing with medication queries and test results paperwork including insurance reports and medical correspondence all in a timely manner.
