Clinical Research Fellow (ST3)

Applications are invited from exceptional medical staff for the post of Clinical Research Fellow (ST3) based at either Castle Hill Hospital or Hull Royal Infirmary academic departments commencing August 2026 for a period of 6 months initially, extendable to a total of 12 months depending on satisfactory performance.  This post does not attract a National Training Number.

This post is primarily designed to allow the successful candidate to focus on academic development and work towards an MSc, MD or PhD.

This appointment is an excellent opportunity to gain experience of clinical research in a highly active research organisation. The Clinical Research Fellow will work in their chosen clinical specialty and design, implement and deliver a research proposal under academic and clinical supervision.

The post-holder will learn the research regulatory pathway, establish themselves within the chosen  research team and seek opportunities to generate external research funding awards.
