Watling Street Practice is a partnership of 10 Partners and 12 Salaried GPs working across Milton Keynes. Our three sites are within Stony Stratford, Great Holm and Shenley Church End. We believe that a group practice such as ours provides a choice of personal care from doctors with a wide range of medical interests. We are forward thinking, working closely with our ICB resulting in the development of our community Dermatology Clinic. Our PCN is supporting its practice by delivering centralised HR support, payroll and bookkeeping. The PCN also host our scanning & workflow teams our secretaries and our prescription clerks. This creates physical space in our practice but also removes pressure from our clinical teams. Watling Street PCN employs a community team including nurses, social prescribers and a social work assistant supporting our most vulnerable patients and those most at risk of avoidable hospital admissions. Also within our network we have access to mental health services for our adult patients, counselling/mentorship services for our younger patients (5-25 y/o), a podiatrist, First Contact Physiotherapy, Pharmacists and Paramedics. Our PCN delivers all our Enhanced Access commitment and we would love to hear from GPs interested in being part of the team delivering those extra appointments to our patients. In that capacity we would be particularly interested if you have (or would like to develop) additional skills including perhaps Minor Surgery, Womens Health, ENT etc.
