Consultant in Resp Med (CF, PCD & Bronchiectasis)

We are seeking a dynamic Respiratory consultant to join the Leeds Cystic Fibrosis, PCD & Bronchiectasis services at St Jamess University Hospital. The appointee will become a key member of a dedicated and highly experienced multidisciplinary team. The Leeds Adult CF Unit cover a large geographical area across all of the West, North & East Yorkshire out to the North Sea coast. The Leeds bronchiectasis service was set up in 1998 & provides secondary & tertiary care living in Leeds & West Yorkshire region.

The job is a full-time post comprising of ten programmed activities, with supervision of the resident doctors and specialist nurses. There will also be an on-call commitment to cover the Cystic Fibrosis rota on a 1:4 basis and contribute 1.2PA to work flexibly to support General Internal Medicine.

The successful candidate would join the other 4 consultants in the team. They are expected to work closely with the current multidisciplinary team to sustain current capacity of CF, Bronchiectasis & PCD services with a view to expand in the near future, ensure the smooth flow from diagnosis to treatment & follow up, including developing innovative ways of working to sustain increasing patient load, contribute to the Respiratory & CF on call rota.
