About the role
It is an exciting time to join our growing, enthusiastic and dynamic imaging department. At MKUH we are embarking on an extensive redevelopment programme which includes the building of a state-of-the-art imaging centre and implementation of our new community diagnostic centres. We are currently looking to appoint Consultant radiologists for substantive full-time (i.e.,1 whole time equivalent) posts with either/or of the following 5 skill sets: Musculoskeletal, Gastro-intestinal,Genito-Urinary, Paediatric, Thoracic, Neuroimaging. Each post offers 10 PA per week (i.e., approximately 7.5 DCC and 2.5 SPA). As a department we are open to flexible working patterns which suit the imaging service and individual needs with agreement with the Clinical Director The MSK consultant position is a replacement post, and GI-GU consultant role is a new addition to radiology team. Both appointments offer an opportunity to strengthen a well-established cohort of radiology colleagues who deliver a reporting service across 7 days.In general, the Consultant Radiologists on call rota involves covering one weekend in twelve and one weekday in thirteen. MKUH NHS FT have successfully implemented a Tele-Radiology on-call service for CT scans from 2000 hours till 0800 hours every day. The successful candidates will have completed formal training in their speciality area (either MSK, GI,GU Paediatric, Neuro or thoracic Imaging) and will have experience in all aspects of intervention as well
