Full GMC Registration

Entry on the GMC specialist register via CCT (proposed CCT due date must be within 6 months of interview)

CESAR (within 6 months for completion)

An appropriate higher surgical/medical qualification

At least 7 years clinical experience in Cardiology at SHO and SPR level or equivalent

Experience demonstrating potential ability to cope with the demands of a DGH based Consultant

Experience in a special interest that will complement those existing in the department

Invasive EP procedures to include EP study, AV node ablation and VT ablation. Device implantation to include complex devices

Experience in the use of multiple PFA systems

Independence in complex pacing including conduction system pacing

Willingness and ability to fulfil the general service elements of the job description

Evidence of the clinical skills required to fulfil the specialty and sub-specialty elements of the job as in the job description and technical specification

Up to date devices accreditation (ie BHRS or IBHRE)

Evidence of leadership and service developm

Ability to develop effective working relationships and team working

Evidence of understanding of clinical governance

Knowledge of and direct involvement in audit

Knowledge of principles of research and evidence of involvement in research

Evidence of general management training and skills appropriate for the post
