Salaried GP

We are looking to recruit a Salaried GP for 2 sessions per week (Thursday) with the potential to increase sessions and future partnership to join our GP team in a busy well established suburban practice. As a Salaried GP you will be responsible for delivering the highest standards of clinical care for all registered and temporary patients. Our current list size is circa 6500, with a GOOD CQC rating and we are, regularly high QOF achievers. We would love to hear from dynamic, committed and caring GPs, who can demonstrate a strong work and team ethic, we are offering a salary of £11K - 11.5k per session dependant on experience and duties. The post-holder will be expected to adhere to GMC standards for good medical practice, leading by example and maintaining a positive, collaborative working relationship with the multidisciplinary team. The starting date for the position is February 2027. About us Our team comprises 2 forward-thinking GP Partners and 2 salaried GPs who work closely with an ANP, Clinical Pharmacist, PCN Home Visiting Service, Practice Nursing Team & Social Prescriber.

Job responsibilities As a Salaried GP, your role involves: In accordance with the practice timetable, as agreed, the post-holder will make themselves available to undertake a variety of duties, including surgery consultations, telephone consultations and queries, visiting patients at home, checking and signing repeat prescriptions and dealing with queries, paperwork and correspondence in a timely fashion. Making professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems, whether self-referred or referred from other health care workers within the organisation Assessing the health care needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems Screening patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness Developing care plans for health in consultation with patients and in line with current practice disease management protocols Prescribing in accordance with the practice prescribing formulary (or generically) whenever this is clinically appropriate In general, the post-holder will be expected to undertake all the normal duties and responsibilities associated with a GP working within primary care.
