We are seeking a Salaried General Practitioner to join our team at Talybont Surgery, delivering six sessions per week. Talybont Surgery is a progressive, partner-led practice committed to delivering high-quality patient care within a supportive multidisciplinary environment. Our clinical team currently consists of seven GPs (including five salaried and two partners), two GP Registrars, two Prescribing Pharmacists, a Mental Health Practitioner, a Womens Health Specialist Nurse, two Practice Nurses and a Healthcare Assistant (HCA). The clinical team is supported by an experienced and friendly administrative, reception and management team. We are also a training practice and are actively involved in supporting the development of future clinicians. We currently host two GP Registrars as well as undergraduate medical students, and the successful candidate will be expected to contribute to a supportive teaching and learning environment within the practice.
The post-holder will manage a caseload and address a wide range of health needs within a primary care setting, ensuring the highest standards of care for both registered and temporary patients.
Talybont Surgery is a progressive three-partner GP practice located on the boundary between Swansea and Carmarthenshire. Although we operate within Swansea Bay University Health Board, approximately one third of our patients reside in Carmarthenshire. We serve a patient list of approximately 9,900 patients and have a strong multidisciplinary team consisting of Partners, Salaried GPs, two GP Registrars, Prescribing Pharmacists, Foundation Pharmacists, a Mental Health Practitioner, a Womens Health Specialist Nurse, Practice Nurses and a Healthcare Assistant. We are supported by an experienced administrative, reception and management team and benefit from an in-house pharmacy team consisting of two Prescribing Pharmacists. As a training practice, we support two GP Registrars, two Foundation Pharmacists and undergraduate medical and pharmacy students, contributing to the development of the future primary care workforce.
