Salaried GP

Stratton Medical Centre is a busy town practice on the outskirts of Bude. We are a well-organised, forward-thinking practice led by two GP Partners and an experienced Practice Manager. We pride ourselves on our ability to respond quickly to challenges whilst maintaining a supportive environment where staff feedback is valued and encouraged. We are committed to ensuring that Stratton Medical Centre remains a positive and rewarding place to work. Communication and teamwork are at the heart of what we do. There is a whole team morning huddle to ensure everyone is aware of key issues and priorities. Mid-morning GP coffee breaks provide an opportunity for informal peer support, and regular team meetings ensure all staff have the opportunity to input into decisions, raise concerns or for information sharing. The GP Day is carefully managed, with a balanced mix of routine and urgent appointments, triage sessions and follow up telephone consultations. Workload is continually monitored and our wider disciplinary team, including home visiting clinicians, pharmacists and administrative team, helps reduce the pressure on GPs and supports efficient patient care. We are also proud to be a training practice, committed to developing the next generation of healthcare professionals and fostering a culture of learning and continuous improvement.

The role is to provide excellent patient care via a mix of: Pre booked. Routine appointments. Urgent on the day appointments. Triage duties that are part of a rota. Managing all associated paperwork and test results. Care planning for more complex patients. Home visits (occasionally when the home visiting team are not available). Peer support via coffee breaks and regular clinical meetings. Supporting GP trainees with education and supervision.
