Primary Medical Qualification (e.g. MBChB)
FRCEM, or show evidence of equivalent training and experience with significant EM experience OR MRCPCH with EM subspeciality
Current ALS provider
Full registration with the General Medical Council
Inclusion on the Specialist Register / Admission to the Register within 6 months of interview (CCST or CCT in Respiratory (or within six months of entitlement)
GIM with specialty will also be considered
Wide experience in Diabetes and Endocrine Medicine.
Broad experience in the management of all aspects of diabetes and endocrine medicine.
Demonstrates the underpinning subject specific competencies relevant to the role setting and scope.
Good practical clinical skills.
Good understanding of Clinical Governance.
Good understanding of safeguarding.
Demonstrates key generic skills around the areas of consent; ensuring humane interventions, prescribing medicines safely and using medical devices safely.
Awareness of their leadership responsibilities as a clinician and demonstrates appropriate leadership behaviour; managing situations that are unfamiliar, complex, or unpredictable and seeking to build collaboration with, and confidence in, others.
Develops effective relationships across teams and contributes to work and success of these teams - promotes and participates in both multidisciplinary and interprofessional team working.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
