Locum Consultant Vascular Surgeon

We have an exciting opportunity for a Locum Consultant post to join the Vascular Service within Swansea Bay University Health Board. The posts will form part of a team of 10 consultants responsible for the provision of the full complement of vascular surgical servicer to the South West Wales Regional Vascular Network. The network provides vascular services to the population of South West Wales. This comprises a population of circa 1 million, across a large geographical area, stretching from Bridgend in the East to Aberystwyth in the North West. This area includes four health boards (Swansea Bay University Health Board, Hywel Dda University Health Board, and parts of Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board and Powys Teaching Health Board). A 10-million-pound hybrid theatre is currently under construction and scheduled to be operational by October 2026. This represents an excellent opportunity for a suitably trained vascular surgeon to develop endovascular practice. We have close links with Swansea University and other University College partners in South Wales especially in the areas of research and development and multi-professional teaching.We place great emphasis on continuous professional development and will actively support you in the development and achievement of personal goals. Appropriate support (including 2nd on support for on call) would be offered to a newly qualified consultant, if required.
