About the role
Applications are invited for the post of Consultant in Urology (Reconstructive and General Urology) at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust to commence as soon as possible.
This is a substantive (10 PA) post due to commence as soon as possible. Subspecialty expertise in bladder and reconstructive surgery is an essential requirement.
We are a busy department of 21 Consultants who provide Core Urology Services and a wide range of sub-specialist services, including Uro-Oncology, Reconstructive Urology, complex stone management, and General Urology services to both the Cambridge area and the wider East of England region.
The successful candidate will help deliver all aspects of the Bladder and Reconstructive and Core Urology Service, and the job includes a 1:13 on-call commitment.
You will be fully registered with the GMC and have a CCT in Urology or be within six months of award of CCT at the time of interview. Applications are welcomed from those unable to work full time for personal reasons or those wishing to job-share.
The applicants must have demonstrable skills in listening, reading, writing and speaking in English that enable effective communication about medical topics with patients and colleagues, as set out in the GMC's Good Medical Practice (2013). Non-UK applicants must possess the IELTS/OET exam before obtaining a GMC licence to practice.
