Consultant Psychiatrist - Adult & CYP Neurodevelopmental Services

This is a remote first consultant post, with occasional in person clinics in Worcester or Redditch. The role focuses on senior assessment, diagnostic clarity, medication governance and complex case decision making in Adult and Children & Young Peoples ADHD and Adult ASD pathways. You will work alongside a multidisciplinary team including GPs, mental health nurses, pharmacists and specialist clinicians, supporting safe, evidence based care within a primary care led model. The successful candidate will be needed to work 1-2 PAs per week.

Senior psychiatric assessment and diagnostic clarification for complex Adult and CYP ADHD presentations Consultantlevel input into Adult and CYP ASD assessments requiring specialist expertise Oversight of medication initiation, titration and stabilisation in line with NICE NG87 & UKAAN guidance Clinical leadership in MDT meetings; supervision and advice to clinicians across the service Governance contributions including audit, medicines management and incident review Consultant signoff for Shared Care readiness and communication with GP partners Promote safe, effective remote psychiatric practice using EMIS and digital platforms
