About the role
Bharani Medical Centre is seeking a confident and enthusiastic Salaried GP to join our established and supportive clinical team in Slough. We care for approximately 18,000 patients across three nearby sites and offer a structured working environment supported by experienced GP partners and a comprehensive multidisciplinary team. Our digital-first working model is designed to provide clinicians with a predictable and manageable workload while maintaining high standards of patient care. We offer approximately 15 consultations per clinical session, dedicated administrative time, no traditional duty doctor rota and infrequent home visits. Working days can be agreed in advance, with 46 sessions available. We are particularly interested in clinically confident GPs who can work independently and manage a broad range of presentations. Previous experience working in general practice following qualification would be advantageous. Informal discussions via Microsoft Teams are warmly encouraged.
The successful candidate will provide comprehensive general medical services to registered patients, working independently while contributing to our multidisciplinary team. Main responsibilities include: Undertaking approximately 15 patient consultations per clinical session, predominantly telephone-first, with face-to-face assessments when clinically appropriate. Assessing and managing acute presentations, chronic conditions and complex clinical problems. Prescribing safely, requesting investigations, reviewing results and arranging appropriate referrals. Managing clinical correspondence and associated tasks through Anima Documents, with dedicated administrative slots. Managing occasional additional urgent appointments, including childhood emergencies, according to clinical need. Undertaking home visits where appropriate, although these are infrequent. Maintaining accurate clinical records using EMIS Web, Anima and Accurx. Participating in clinical governance, quality improvement, safeguarding and continuing professional development.
