Locum Consultant Radiologist - Subspecialist Int in Paediatric Imaging

This is a substantive post for a general radiologist with a subspecialist interest in paediatric imaging. The candidate must have extensive experience in paediatric and general radiology. A second area of subspecialist interest would be desirable. The successful applicant will be joining a highly motivated and enthusiastic team of 12 consultant radiologists. There will be an average of 8 PAs of direct clinical care and 2 PAs are allocated for supporting professional activities over a 4 day working week, with the possibility for an additional PA should the successful applicant wish to work over 5 days. All Consultants have the option of 1 day working from home should they wish.

The main duties of the post will be as follows: To provide, in conjunction with consultant colleagues, a comprehensive radiology service. To provide an imaging advisory service for the hospital together with other Consultants in line with an agreed job plan with on call rota and prospective cover To liaise effectively and on a timely basis with General Practitioners and community services. To maintain and promote team and multi-disciplinary working within the radiology department. To participate in the governance process. To take part in continuing medical education activities
