MBChB or MBBS or equivalent
FRCEM or equivalent
ALS or equivalent certification
ATLS or equivalent certification
APLS or equivalent certification
Entry on GMC Specialist Register and hold a licence to practise or be eligible for entry on the Register (within six months of completion of Certificate of Completion of Training) at time of interview.
Evidence of thorough training in Emergency Medicine
Able to offer expert clinical opinion on all aspects within EM. Able to take full and independent responsibility for delivering service without direct supervision.
All applicants to have demonstrable skills in written and spoken English that are adequate to enable effective communication about medical topics with patients and colleagues which could be demonstrated by one of the following that applicants have undertaken undergraduate medical training in English. ? PLAB1 ? PLAB2 If applicants believe that they have adequate communication skills, but do not fit into one of the examples they need to provide evidence.
Has a thorough knowledge and understanding of "Good Medical Practice" from the GMC and meets its requirements

Substantive work in UK Emergency Medicine
Clinical training and experience equivalent to that required for gaining UK CCT in relevant specialty

Recent published clinical research in peer reviewed journal
Experience of literature appraisal
Evidence of management experience or training
