About the role
We welcome applicants with a background in Medicine, Anaesthesia, Emergency Medicine or Surgery. The successful candidate will be appointed to a core trainee level rota. Previous critical care experience is desirable but not essential.
We provide support & direct admission from our busy Emergency Department (which sees upwards of 130,000 patients annually), and we take complex external referrals. The department runs a 24/7 nurse led outreach service, which is supported by the ICU doctors. The department also runs a fortnightly critical care follow-up clinic.
All applicants must hold full and active registration with the GMC, have MBBS or equivalent, clinical training equivalent to at least Foundation Year 2 or equivalent, and must currently be employed in a clinical capacity. Desirable qualifications for this post include MRCP, MRCS, Primary FRCA or MCEM (or equivalents).
Jobs for this role are for start dates from August 2026 and February 2027. Other start dates may be considered by positions available.
