About the role

Vine Medical Group is recruiting for a Salaried GP to join our friendly, supportive team in Waterlooville (list size of 25,000). We can consider candidates wishing to work between 4 and 8 sessions per week (to include a Friday).

Our GPs undertake on average 13 x 15-minute facing-patient appointments a session, plus 3 admin slotsin order todeliver the best and safest service we can to our patients. Our salaried GPs have their own patient list once induction / familiarisation phase has been completed.

We have both face-to-face and on-line clinics, as well as home visits, same day care and routine appointments. Our GPs have admin time structured into the working day. Our same day care is run via a structured triage service managed by our care navigators with a GP Lead and ably supported by Paramedics, Nurses, and HCAs, as well as a Medicine Management Team lead by clinical pharmacists.

To work as an autonomous practitioner, responsible for the provision of medical services to the practice population, delivering an excellent standard of clinical care whilst complying with the GMS contract. Furthermore, the post-holder will adhere to the GMC standards for good medical practice, contributing to the effective management of the practice, leading by example, maintaining a positive, collaborative working relationship with the multidisciplinary team.

To see patients in accordance with the practice timetable, including consultations, visiting patients at home, as well as an equitable share of same day care and extended access appointments.

To be able to work and travel between any of our sites and visit patients out in the community

To proportionately participate in the delivery of Enhanced Access hours (normally 1-2 Saturday Am sessions per year or more frequent Thursday early AM sessions)

In addition, we offer an optional development opportunity for a GP with an interest in clinical digital systems and transformation. This role would involve supporting the implementation and compliance of new digital clinical systems, acting as the practices clinical intelligent customer. Dedicated time, training, and technical support would be provided to enable the successful development of expertise in this area.

We are an EMIS Web surgery with ARDENs templates, use AccuRx, as well as being innovative with our AI-based online consultation system and other efficiency-enhancing technology. We provide:

Essential

A good understanding of GMS contracting requirements and the operation of the Quality Outcomes Framework (QOF) process
Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team
Good organisational and time management skills with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and tasks
An understanding acceptance and adherence to the need for strict confidentiality
Excellent communication skills, able to effectively engage with a diverse range of people recognising the need for alternative methods of communication to overcome different levels of understanding, cultural background, and preferred ways of communicating
Confident IT user with accurate data entry skills
Ability to work and travel between any of our sites and visit patients out in the community
Caring, empathic and professional manner
Self-motivated
