This is a full-time Consultant Rheumatologist post (10.0 Programmed Activities). The successful candidate will join a supportive and multidisciplinary Rheumatology team comprising two full-time consultants, one SAS doctor, four Clinical Nurse Specialists, and dedicated administrativesupport. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the ongoing development and expansion of Rheumatology services at George Eliot Hospital. The successful applicant will be encouraged and supported to develop a specialist interest and, where desired, contribute to the general medical on-call rota. The post holder will have the opportunity to participate in and further develop our Early Arthritis Service, including dedicated early arthritis clinics. Musculoskeletal ultrasound is an established component of the service, supporting the timely assessment, diagnosis, and management of patients with inflammatory arthritis. Candidates with an interest or expertise in rheumatology ultrasound will be particularly welcomed and supported in developing this aspect of the service. This is an exciting time to join our growing service and play a key role in shaping its future. The post also provides opportunities for close collaborative working with colleagues at South Warwickshire University NHS Foundation Trust, including participation in joint multidisciplinary team meetings, governance activities, and service development initiatives.
