About the role
Specialty Trainee / Senior Clinical Fellow in Intensive Care Medicine (ST3-7). This is an opportunity for an anaesthetic or ICM speciality doctor or trainee, to join the team at Hammersmith Hospital ICU to actively develop their clinical skills and experience in a tertiary centre. The department prides itself on fostering a supportive and collaborative environment for junior medical colleagues to develop. We will also be appointing to one Senior clinical fellow role with an interest in simulation (ICM) as part of this interview process. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and forward-thinking simulation programme within Intensive Care Medicine at Hammersmith Hospital, part of Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust. Simulation is an increasingly central component of ICM training, providing a safe, high-fidelity environment to develop both clinical and non- technical skills in response to the complexities of modern critical care. The successful candidate will play a central role in shaping this next phase of development. This will include undertaking a systematic review of current simulation activity across sites, identifying variation and gaps in provision, and designing innovative, high-quality training opportunities. A key priority will be the introduction of regular simulation training days to complement in situ delivery and ensure equitable access to learning across the multidisciplinary workforce.
