About the role
Clinical Fellow in Gastroenterology and Endoscopy.
It is expected that they will pursue subspecialty training in EUS, advanced lower GI (including IBD) or Upper GI endoscopy although other interests will be considered.
The rota includes other Gastroenterology and Endoscopy resident doctors/Fellows.
Each post holder will have an Educational Supervisor and be provided with career advice as well as a study leave budget.
This will provide a year of subspecialty training in endoscopy. For selected candidates training may be extended by a further year. It is anticipated that the appointee will work alongside other endoscopy fellows and a dynamic gastroenterology department consisting of 22 consultant gastroenterologists, a staff specialist, 6 registrars, IMTs and foundation doctors. The role is also open to surgical trainees who would then also contribute to the upper GI surgical service.
