About the role

We are seeking a motivated Salaried GP to join Northenden Group Practice for 6 sessions per week (0.75 FTE). The postholder will deliver high-quality, patient-centred care across a range of clinical presentations, managing both acute and chronic conditions in line with GMS requirements. You will undertake a balanced mix of clinical sessions, including face-to-face and remote consultations, triage, and a fair share of duty/on-call responsibilities. There is a strong emphasis on continuity of care and safe, efficient clinical decision-making. You will work closely with an experienced multidisciplinary team, contributing to shared clinical workload and supporting integrated patient care. As a training practice, there are opportunities to be involved in teaching and mentoring.

Postgraduate qualifications relevant to General Practice or Primary Care (e.g. Diplomas, Certificates, or MSc-level study)
Additional clinical training in relevant disease areas
Teaching qualification or recognised training in medical education (desirable but not essential)
Experience of working in UK General Practice or equivalent primary care setting.
Experience of managing a broad range of acute and chronic conditions independently.
Experience of safe and appropriate prescribing in line with current guidance.
Experience of using clinical IT systems for consultation, coding, and record keeping (e.g. EMIS or equivalent).
Experience of working as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver patient-centred care.
Experience of managing clinical workload including consultations, administrative tasks, and follow-up of investigations.

Desirable

Previous experience working in UK general practice
Experience of working within a GP training practice or an interest in teaching and mentoring (e.g. medical students or GP registrars)
Familiarity with EMIS Web, Docman, and electronic prescribing systems
An interest in service development, quality improvement, or clinical leadership
Experience of working within a multidisciplinary team and/or Primary Care Network environment
Additional clinical interests (e.g. womens health, chronic disease management) that could complement the existing team.
Understanding of QOF, enhanced services, and population health management.
