About the role
Stapenhill Medical Centre is currently looking for a receptionist to join our existing Patient Services Team. This is a part-time position working approximately 20-25 hours per week between 8am and 6:30pm. Applicants must be prepared to work overtime to cover holidays and absences, evening and occasional Saturdays will also be required. The successful applicant will work within a team alongside GPs, Nurses and Healthcare Professionals to deliver an excellent service to our patients. Good communication and organisational skills are essential. Candidates must be flexible, reliable, have the ability to multi-task and work efficiently within a busy and pressurised environment. Previous experience would be highly advantageous, however, full training will be provided. The Practice uses SystmOne Clinical System.
Receive, assist and direct patients in accessing the appropriate service or healthcare professional in a courteous, efficient and effective way. Adhere to strict confidentiality requirements, including those regarding computer information as under Data Protection legislation. Provide general assistance to the practice team and project a positive and friendly image to patients and other visitors, either in person or via the telephone.
We are a highly productive Practice always looking to provide excellent care and new services to our patients. We currently have two full-time Partners, assisted by five employed GP's, one Advanced Nurse Practitioner, two Practice Nurses and one Healthcare Assistant and three Clinical Pharmacists. With a patient list currently in excess of 9,500 and growing, and with the development of new services, we are seeking to recruit to address our future needs. We are a friendly, well established Practice with high QOF scores and a Good CQC rating.
