Consultant in Ophthalmology (VR) - CON 965

Required to fill this replacement post within the Ophthalmic Department at the St Jamess University Hospital.

This post is a 10 PA appointment for a Consultant Ophthalmologist, with special interests in Vitreo Retinal and General services.

This post will deliver 10 PAs supporting the Vitreo Retinal & General Ophthalmology teams. The post will be based at St Jamess University Hospital with work at surrounding hospital sites incorporated into the varied job plan.

Applicants should have established skills in Ophthalmology and be interested in working in a fast-paced Ophthalmology department within a large teaching hospital. Excellent communication and team working skills, a strong commitment to teaching and service development are essential. We are looking for a dynamic individual to fill this Consultant post within the department at Leeds Teaching Hospitals Trust, one of the leading health care institutions in the world, excelling in patient care, teaching and research.

The successful applicant should possess FrcOphth or equivalent) and should be included on the Specialist Register or within 6 months of CCT at the time of interview, if currently within a training programme within the UK. In accordance with the consultant appointment regulations, all other categories of doctors must be on the Specialist Register.
