General Practitioner

We are seeking an enthusiastic General Practitioner to join our established team and be a part of a Practice that really cares and makes a difference within the community. We are looking for a someone to join the team working between 6 and 8 sessions/week. Earnswood Medical Centre is situated in a modern, purpose built Health Centre serving c17,000 patients. The practice is located in Crewe, Cheshire.

In general the post-holder will be expected to undertake all the normal duties and responsibilities associated with a GP working within primary care. Normal duties includes surgery consultations and queries, on-call triage clinics, home-visits, telephone consultations and signing repeat prescriptions, patient test results, referral letters and correspondence. Recording clear and contemporaneous I.T. based consultation notes. Compiling and issuing computer-generated acute and repeat prescriptions (avoiding hand-written prescriptions whenever possible) Awareness of and compliance with all relevant practice policies/guidelines, e.g. prescribing, confidentiality, data protection, health and safety, QOF and PCN DES. Contributing to evaluation/audit and clinical standard setting within the organisation. Attending training, Practice Meetings and events organised by the practice or other agencies, where appropriate.

Earnswood Medical Centre is a well established practice based in Crewe. We are a friendly and forward thinking practice with some of our GP's having specialist interests in Contraception, Education and Minor surgery. We strive to maintain a supportive team environment for clinical and non-clinical members of staff alike. We are an established training practice supporting trainee GP's, medical students and student nurses. Our clinical system is Emis Web. Our aim is to provide excellent clinical care to all of our patients and we have a holistic and personalised approach to our patients. CQC Rated Good . We have a list size of approx. 17,000 patients. We are a very friendly practice with a wide range of clinical and non-clinical staff. We have 6 partners, 5 salaried GP's, 3 ACP's a Clinical Pharmacy team, Practice Nurse Team, MSK practitioners and Social Prescriber all supported by an experienced management team.
