About the role
We are pleased to invite enthusiastic and dynamic candidates to join our team. This is a new permanent role which has been created to meet the increasing demand for children's mental health services in the borough. This is a split role between community CAMHS and the paediatric mental health team (PMHT) at the Whittington hospital, where the post holder will be based for one day a week. The successful candidate will support Islington community CAMHS, by providing clinical leadership, psychiatric consultations and appropriate interventions as needed, and will provide clinical leadership to the paediatric liaison team with an emphasis on crisis assessments and management. There are opportunities for paediatric liaison work if this is in the post holder's interests. Interview date: 8th July 2026 **Please note that as per our Trust processes you will be expected to make yourself available to attend a face to face interview if successfully short listed for this post.**
Please see the full Job Description and the Person Specification for further details about the job role.
Whittington Health serves a richly diverse population and works hard to ensure that all our services are fair and equally accessible to everyone. Nowhere is this more obvious than in the way we look after our staff. We aim to employ a workforce which is as representative as possible of this population, so we are open to the value of differences in age, disability, gender, marital status, pregnancy and maternity, race, sexual orientation, and religion or belief. The Trustbelieves that as a public sector organisation we have an obligation to have recruitment, training, promotion and other formal employment policies and procedures that are sensitive to these differences. We think that by doing so, we are better able to treat our patients as well as being a better place to work.
