About the role
We have an exciting opportunity to join our friendly team at Armley Medical Practice. We are an expanding inner city training practice of over 17,000 patients, using EMIS as our clinical system.
We are looking for a salaried GP to join our team which currently consists of 5 partners, 6 salaried GPs, an ANP, 4 practice nurses, 3 health care assistants and a frailty practice nurse.
The postholder will deal with a wide range of health needs in primary care setting, ensuring the highest standards of care for all registered and temporary patients. We are looking for a 6 sessional GP to cover 8am 6.30pm (late finishes on a rota basis) on fixed days. We operate morning and afternoon surgeries with a mix of telephone and face to face appointments and home visits when necessary. We are a low visiting practice and are supported in this by our frailty team. GPs are responsible for their own admin, paperwork and review of results as well as supporting when needed to cover for colleagues on annual leave or sickness. We currently have a doctor on-call morning and afternoon with a second doctor to support. We have regular clinical meetings and training on Target afternoons, as well as a daily informal doctors meeting for support and the opportunity to discuss cases and ask questions.
There is an opportunity to develop areas of interest if needed by and beneficial to the practice.
We are a friendly, supportive and highly motivated team with excellent clinical administrative support. We offer a competitive salary, indemnity paid and 6 weeks annual leave. We enjoy socialising and taking part in charitable events such as MacMillan coffee mornings, Dementia Awareness, Race for Life, Candlelighters, RNLI Easter raffle and Christmas collections for those in need. We offer our patients a wide range of services to support their physical and mental health needs. We work closely with 2 other practices in LS12 as part of the Armley Primary Care Network and employ a range of additional staff who work across the 3 practices, including physiotherapists, dieticians and pharmacists.
