About the role
This is an exciting opportunity for thepost-holder to join a center of excellence specializing in hemophilia, haemoglobinopathies, haemato-oncology, Haemostasis and transfusion medicine. The post-holder will be working with specialist haematology trainees, consultant haematology colleagues, clinical nurse specialists, physicians' associates, and CMTs & FY1/2/3 doctors. All candidates should be on the GMC register and have MRCP Part 2 or equivalent and evidence of interest in haematology, oncology or palliative care medicine. Full MRCP and some experience in haematology are highly desirable. Where equivalent qualifications or experience are being offered, it is essential that the candidate provide written confirmation from the Royal College and attach this to their application. Applicants who do not provide this confirmation will not be put forward for shortlisting. This post is for 12 months in the first instance, but likely to be extended, dependent on the candidate and is aimed at candidates who are interested in or who wish to specialise in Haematology. Candidates should have completed at least 3 years of general medical training and demonstrate an interest in haematology. The role will initially be appointed as a Monday to Friday 9-5pm role but dependent on the candidate may then form part of a full shift rota 1:10 resident.
