About the role
Runnymede Medical Practice is looking for a Salaried GP to join our team working 4-6 sessions per week to include Mon/Tues/Fri. We are a small, but friendly and supportive team looking after 12,000 patients on the leafy Berkshire/Surrey border. Our diverse population offers unique and interesting clinical cases. Our team get full support including Partner mentorship and are keen for our GPs to develop clinical and leadership roles within the Practice. We offer a mix of face-to-face and telephone appointments with everyone taking a share of triage and on-call responsibilities. We are a high QOF and LCS performing Practice, using digital tools to assist with workload and support high quality patient care.
The successful candidate will undertake a range of clinical duties in line with being a GP including working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary colleagues within the Practice, PCN and wider. Alongside consulting with patients there is a range of administrative duties to be completed including prescriptions, letter review and referrals management, but with full support from a strong administrative team. Home visits are undertaken for clinically appropriate patients and we encourage GPs to regularly review their housebound and end of life patients; however acute visits are supported by a PCN Paramedic Visiting service.
Runnymede Medical Practice carers for 12,000 patients across two sites spanning the Berkshire / Surrey border. One site is located in Old Windsor and the other in Englefield Green. We are part of the Windsor Primary Care Network (PCN). Joining us means joining a team of 6 GPs (4 Partners and 2 Salaried GPs), an Advanced Paramedic Practitioner (soon to be two), a full Nursing Team (2 Practice Nurses, a Nurse Associate, a Healthcare Assistant (soon to be two) and a Phlebotomist). We are a fully accredited training Practice and fully support the ongoing professional development of all our staff, encouraging taking on lead roles. We regularly have GP trainees based in the Practice and accommodate students from two medical students. In addition we support placements for students on Occupational Health courses. We hold weekly clinical meetings for staff on a range of topics, as well as meetings for different teams and across the whole Practice. As a friendly, outgoing group we also like to get together socially.
