Specialty Doctor - Community Mental Health Service (2 Posts)

We are excited to offer an opportunity for two outstanding Specialty Doctors to join the medical team of Consultants and Specialty Doctors in our Community Mental Health Service (CMHS).

You will be forward thinking and able to manage your caseload expertly by ensuring regular assessment and reviews alongside primary care colleagues. You will be encouraged to work closely with the Consultant and Operational Staff to ensure smooth functioning of the service but also to ensure a high standard quality of care for those patients on your caseload. You will have the opportunity to develop psychotherapeutic skills and there are extended opportunities for experience in training in family interventions and CBT.

LSW employs a number of SAS Doctors and wishes to provide a working environment that recognises their diversity, commitment and contribution to not just patient care, but also to the multidisciplinary team. In order to deliver on this aspiration, LSW has formally adopted the recommendations of the Charter for Staff and Associate Specialist and Specialty Doctors that was first published in 2014 as a joint production by the BMA, Academy of Medical Royal Colleges, HEE and NHS Employers. As a SAS Doctor at LSW, you will have the opportunity to be involved in the weekly teaching of junior doctors, in monthly peer group meetings, and the Specialty Doctor Committee. With a highly experienced and empathetic Medical Staffing Department, we also have a track record of supporting our SAS doctors to gain accreditation via the Portfolio Pathway (formerly known as CESR). We want your enthusiasm, ideas and commitment. As a social enterprise, we have the flexibility to do things differently.
