Applications are being sought to join the Intensive Care Medicine and Anaesthesia Consultant body at Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust. The Intensive Care service provides countywide support to two Intensive Care Units a 15 bedded unit at Worcestershire Royal Hospital and an 8 bedded unit at the Alexandra Hospital, Redditch. The service is funded to 15 level three equivalent beds, which are staffed flexibly across the county depending on need. The Anaesthetic Department provides services to three sites (Worcestershire Royal Hospital, Alexandra Hospital and Kidderminster Treatment Centre) encompassing all major specialities with a strong countywide working ethos. The department was proud to receive Anaesthesia Clinical Services Accreditation (ACSA) in October 2018, recognising 100% compliance with ACSA standards.
