Within our lung and cardiac specialties, this role will help grow our dedicated teams--bringing the lung radiology team to 2 consultants and cardiac-trained radiologists to 2 substantive consultants--ensuring robust expertise and excellent continuity of care for our patients. We are open to accepting applications from those candidates whoare in the process of completing CESR, offers will be conditional pending successful completion of CESR. In this role, you will contribute your expertise across the full spectrum ofdiagnostic and interventional chest radiology. You will be expected toprovide high-quality reporting and intervention across modalities,including: Plain Film, Ultrasound, CT and MRI CT-guided biopsy and related chest interventional procedures Additional subspecialty reporting skills or interventional capabilitieswould be highly advantageous and are welcomed within our expandingservice. As a key member of the department, you will also provide generalradiology support, including participation in on-call and acute imagingwork to ensure continuity of care for our patients. You may also be required to undertake any other duties necessary forthe effective performance of the role, appropriate to the Consultantgrade. *Previous applicants need not apply*

Person specification

Essential

On GMC's Specialist Register or be no more than six months from receiving CCT at interview date
FRCR or equivalent higher qualification from a different College or from overseas.
Experience in General Radiology
Confident with Information Technology.
Subspecialty training and experience in chest imaging post FRCR 2B
In General Radiology (CT, MR, US, Plain Films, Fluoroscopy) with appropriate sub-specialist training
Communication skills (clarity/listen/persuade/negotiate)
Interpersonal skills & self-awareness
Ability to work as part of a team & demonstrate leadership
Flexibility (ability to be flexible in working practice, supporting staff and patients)
Self-motivation and ability to motivate others
Resilience & able to cope under pressure
Reliability
Ability to survey and perform critical literature appraisal.
Must reside within 20 miles or 60 minutes from Airedale General Hospital. If do not reside within this distance, this should be discussed with recruiting manager
Able to provide an on call service
To have understanding of all elements and commitment to the principals of clinical governance and clinical audit.
