Consultant Psychiatrist - Female PICU

Priory Hospital Cheadle £170,000 per annum Full Time - 37.5 Hours per week

Priory Hospital Cheadle is looking for a Consultant Psychiatrist to join our established Clinical team in Manchester. This is an opportunity to play a key role in the assessment, treatment and recovery of patients within our Female PICU setting.

As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will provide clinical responsibility and take overall responsibility for assessing, treating, and caring for patients. Working closely with the multidisciplinary team, you will ensure care is safe, effective, person-centred and focused on recovery. You will also: Take clinical responsibility for patients, including multidisciplinary ward rounds, risk reviews, strategic reviews and the development of a therapeutic milieu. Act as the Responsible Clinician to patients detained under the Mental Health Act (1983). Supervise the process of referral and admission including contributing to preadmission assessments of young people with other team members. Contribute to clinical governance, service development and strategic planning. Supervise and support junior medical staff and contribute to teaching and training.
