Mid Yorkshire Teaching NHS Trust is pleased to announce the introduction of a MYDoc Registrar (ST3-ST5) in Obstetrics & Gynaecology for doctors who are passionate about delivering high-quality womens healthcare and developing their careers outside traditional training pathways.

This role combines high-quality clinical exposure with structured education, supervision and career development. It is designed for doctors who wish to consolidate and extend their skills within a supportive, forward-thinking department.

These posts are not recognised UK training posts. However, post-holders will:

Have a named Educational and Clinical Supervisor Undertake a personalised development plan Access structured educational opportunities Build a portfolio to support CESR/Portfolio Pathway or other career progression routes Receive certificated outcomes aligned to development

The main duties of the post will include:

Assessment and management of women in labour ward Emergency obstetric care including operative vaginal delivery and emergency Caesarean section (as competent) Management of obstetric triage and antenatal ward patients Emergency gynaecology assessment and management Participation in elective gynaecology theatre (according to skill set) Outpatient clinics (antenatal, gynaecology or specialist clinics depending on experience) Contribution to multidisciplinary team meetings
