10 PA Fixed-Term Appointment (6 Months)

Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated Locum Consultant Haematologist with a special interest in Myeloid Disorders, Paroxysmal Nocturnal Haemoglobinuria (PNH) and General Haematology. This is a 10 PA fixed-term appointment for 6 months, available as soon as possible.

This post offers an exciting opportunity to join a highly regarded and collaborative haematology team within one of the largest teaching hospital trusts in the UK. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting specialist myeloid and PNH services whilst contributing to the delivery of high-quality general haematology care.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to fill this vacant 10PA locum post within the busy Department of Haematology at St Jamess University Hospital.

In relation to this post, the appointee will specifically be helping to further develop and support Myeloid services (Acute Leukaemias, Myelodysplastic and myeloproliferative disorders). Myeloid team provides level 3 service to Leeds, Harrogate and Huddersfield patients and works closely with the bone marrow transplant team and CAR-T team. Myeloid service is a busy inpatient and outpatient service with multiple clinical trials running which recruit locally and regionally. We also support and advise our regional colleagues on patient management and provide region-wide MDT services for patients with myeloid disorders. They will join a large and established team delivering the full breadth of haematology services across Yorkshire and beyond with extensive research activity. We also provide TYA services of myeloid malignancies for the region, including East Yorkshire.
