Essential

Hold Full GMC registration with a Licence to Practise
MBBS or equivalent
MRCPCH or equivalent
Entry on GMC Specialist Register and hold a licence to practise or be eligible for entry on the Register (within six months of completion of Certificate of Completion of Training) at time of interview.
Entry on the GMC Specialist Register in Paediatrics or postgraduate training in Paediatrics equivalent to that gained in a UK CCT programme.
Experience and training in child protection Level 3
EPLS or APLS
Experience in a wide variety of general specialist Paediatrics in senior's role in the UK.
Willingness to share management and administration duties with consultant colleagues.
To demonstrate experience in clinical audit and an understanding of the principles of clinical governance
Experience in teaching students and doctors in training
Critical reading skills
Evidence based approach to clinical practise.
Show caring attitude to patients and staff.
To be able to work effectively in a team.
Leadership skills, appropriate management course
Committed to work within Trust policies.
Committed to CPD as laid down by the RCPCH.
Committed to own professional development and be responsible for own revalidation.
Evidence of good attendance and timekeeping.
Occupational Health Clearance to carry out the duties of this role and able to cope with stressful and emotional circumstances.
The ability to communicate with clarity and intelligibility in written and spoken English; ability to build rapport, listen, persuade, negotiate.
