Looking for a Role That Still Feels Like General Practice? Polden Medical Practice is a thriving rural dispensing training practice in Somerset serving approximately 11,000 patients across two owned sites. We are looking for a GP Partner who values continuity and teamwork. We combine traditional continuity of care with modern systems that support safe, efficient and sustainable general practice, keeping patients at the heart of everything we do. Situated close to Junction 23 of the M5, we're within easy commuting distance of Bristol and Taunton while offering the benefits of rural practice and a strong sense of community. Main duties of the job: Sessions are flexible and can range from 4 to 8 sessions per week. Our multidisciplinary team creates a supportive environment where workload is shared appropriately, and clinicians can focus on delivering high-quality patient care. We operate a modern digital access model supported by efficient administrative systems and a commitment to reducing unnecessary workload wherever possible.
Clinical: Provide comprehensive primary care services to registered and temporary patient Undertake routine, acute and complex consultation Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions Deliver evidence-based care in accordance with national and local guidance Manage patients with long-term conditions and contribute to QOF achievement Prescribe safely and effectively within professional guidelines Participate in same-day access and triage services Maintain accurate and contemporaneous clinical records Make appropriate referrals to secondary care and community services Work collaboratively with the wider multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient care Partnership and Leadership: Take an active role in practice leadership and decision-making Contribute to the strategic direction and future development of the practice Participate in partnership and PCN meetings and governance processes Help shape service development and quality improvement initiatives Support the delivery of safe, effective and sustainable primary care services Participate fully in the management and running of the business Work collaboratively with partners, managers and the wider practice team to ensure organisational success
