Trainee Consultant Healthcare Scientist – Respiratory & Sleep

Are you an experienced Senior Respiratory and Sleep Physiologist or Healthcare Scientist looking to take the next step in your career? This post provides the opportunity to undertake Higher Specialist Scientist Training (HSST), developing the competencies required for independent consultant-level practice. The successful candidate will deliver advanced clinical care under supervision, contribute to service leadership and development, and play an active role in education, research and clinical governance, preparing them for future appointment as a Consultant Clinical Scientist. Our multidisciplinary team of Healthcare Scientists, Physiologists, Practitioners, Assistants and Trainees delivers a wide range of routine and complex respiratory and sleep diagnostic and therapeutic services, including Physiologist/Scientist-led CPAP and Sleep Clinics, supporting a large and diverse patient population. We are looking for a self-motivated, highly organised individual with excellent communication skills and a positive, approachable manner, who is passionate about delivering high-quality patient care. The role involves flexible working across King's Mill Hospital, Newark Hospital, and our Community Diagnostic Centre at Mansfield Community Hospital.
